Meet Katie
My desire to coach grew out of years of living with and navigating ADHD in both my personal life and our home. ADHD can bring incredible strengths, but it can also bring confusion, frustration, and at times a deep sense of isolation especially for parents trying to support their children while quietly navigating their own challenges. Through these experiences, I came to understand how powerful it can be when ADHD is not treated as something to be corrected, but as something to be understood and supported.
Much of my work is especially meaningful for individuals and parents who are trying to create more clarity, structure, and calm in the midst of full and often overwhelming lives.
Before moving into coaching, I worked for more than a decade as a registered nurse. I later stepped away from nursing to focus on raising and educating my children. Our family has spent the past eight years homeschooling, beginning in Calgary, Alberta and continuing in the foothills of Colorado, where I now live with my husband, our two children, and our black lab puppy.
Both of my children have ADHD and dyslexia, and supporting them required advocacy, flexibility, patience, and constant learning. Through that process, I also came to better understand my own ADHD, something I did not fully recognize until later in life. Navigating life while working with this wiring has given me a deep appreciation for both the challenges and the strengths that often accompany ADHD at every stage of life.
I am currently completing my certification through the ADD Coach Academy (ADDCA), an ICF-accredited ADHD coach training program, with certification expected in Spring 2026. My training focuses on strengthening executive function skills, increasing self-understanding, and building practical systems for daily life. After completing certification, I plan to continue through ADDCA’s Family Program to deepen my work with children, teens, and families.
Coaching, for me, is about helping individuals build practical skills rooted in self-awareness, confidence, and sustainable systems. It is not about fixing. It is about learning how to work with your brain.
